Kendra Beebe is Shelley Malil’s Stabbed Girlfriend

Actor Shelley Malil, who played the character "Haziz" in the 2005 hit comedy, The 40 Year Old Virgin, is being held in a San Diego county jail facing attempted murder charges. Bail has been set at $2 million.The victim has been identified as Kendra Beebe, a 35-year-old mother of two, reports TMZ. Authorities say Malil, 43, stabbed Beebe at least 20 times.

Malil and Beebe were boyfriend and girlfriend who were together as recently as Sunday morning (August 10), when they were seen going to the gym, sources told TMZ.On August 10, Malil allegedly attacked Beebe with a knife, chasing her both inside and outside her home, repeatedly stabbing her in front of her two kids. One of Beebe's neighbors tried to stop the attack, when Malil fled the scene.

After the attack, the neighbor wrapped Kendra in a blanket to stop the bleeding. Cops say his actions may have saved her life. Beebe is currently in critical condition at a local hospital but is expected to survive.Malil turned himself in on August 11, where he was arrested for attempted murder, burglary and mayhem. No motive has been given for the vicious knife attack, but authorities say the relationship between Malil and Beebe had recently ended.
