Lil Wayne’s Daughter is Alive and Well

Yesterday internet rumors began swirling that the beautiful daughter of Lil Wayne had died. Those rumors turned out to be completely untrue, as confirmed by her Aunt and attendance at school today.Although Celebrityunplugged was not the source of the rumors or even the first website to write about them, we clearly participated in their spread along with other sites by publishing an article about them.

We do not know why people start vicious rumors electronically and on the web. They can be very hurtful to family members and friends involved.This one apparently started as a series of text messages and emails which, which were then repeated on websites which created a frenzied pitch of internet search activity by the evening on August 10th.

Our writer reacted to that activity and thought she had the story right from the sources but the bottom line is it was a hoax. As a celebrity gossip site we will publish rumors as any other site does but always try to get the story right.In this case we got it wrong. Our apologies to the families and friends of Reginae Carter, and to our loyal readers, for getting suckered into participating in a terrible rumor.
