Honestly I can’t get over this show. I’m mesmerized by how bad it is. Each week despite my better judgement, I'm transfixed in front of the TV. The dialogue is simply ridiculous – especially among the adults. That whole scene where Amy’s dad was delighted Grace was caught on tape fending off her attacker was so bizarre. What father would let his daughter know he was that vindictive about his ex-wife? What parent wouldn’t be more concerned about any teenager being attacked? But I still want to see what happens when Ben finds out that Amy is pregnant.

Paul Lee, president of ABC Family, announced Thursday that he had ordered up 13 more episodes of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. The breakout teen-pregnancy hit — it's like Juno on TV with Molly Ringwald as the mom — was created and is executive-produced by Brenda Hampton (7th Heaven). The show debuted on July 1, breaking a record for the netlet as its most-watched original series premiere. Secret Life will run on Tuesday nights through September; 12 of the 13 added eps, technically the second half of the first season, will air beginning in January 2009. In other ABC Family good news, Greek will return on August 26.
