Phil Bronstein is Sharon Stone’s Ex Husband

Phil Bronstein, former editor of the San Francisco Chronicle and the ex husband of Sharon Stone.Phil Bronstein, the ex-husband of Sharon Stone, has been awarded physical custody of their 8-year-old adopted son Roan. The boy is currently living with Bronstein in San Francisco and attends school there. Roan will continue to live with Bronstein unless Stone moves to the San Francisco area or Bronstein moves.According to the minutes taken from the custody hearing on September 12th, the court does not feel a move is in Roan’s “best interest”. Stone will be allowed “access” to Roan.

Phil Bronstein was born in 1951, so his age is around 57 years old. Bronstein started in the newspaper business 20 years ago as a reporter for the San Francisco Examiner. He was recognized for his reporting in the Philippines during the 1980’s. He was also a reporter for KQED-TV in San Franscisco.In 1991, Bronstein became executive editor of the San Francisco Examiner, after having had managing editor duties with the paper.Bronstein married actress Sharon Stone in February 1998. Together they adopted a son, Roan, who was born on May 22, 2000. Bronstein and Stone divorced in January 2004.He became executive vice president and editor of the San Francisco Chronicle in 2003. He left his editor job at the Chronicle in January 2008, and is “editor at large” with Hearst Newspapers.
