Tim Montana to Perform On David Letterman Show

Tim Montana, who grew up just north of Butte near Elk Park, will appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Friday, October 17, to perform his song "Butte, America." The musician landed the appearance on the CBS show after meeting Letterman while the TV talk host was vacationing at his Choteau ranch during the summer.

Letterman is also mining Big Sky talent in November, when the Great Falls-based Cold Hard Cash is scheduled to appear on his program. Cold Hard Cash is a Johnny Cash tribute band.While Friday's performance on the Letterman show will be the first time that Montana has performed for a national audience, he is no stranger to large crowds: he has performed at Evel Knievel Days in Butte several times.
