"The Biggest Loser" Trainer Anthony Badalamenti Arrested

"The Biggest Loser" trainer Anthony Badalamenti has been arrested on Friday on suspicion of beating his girlfriend's 6-year-old son with a weight-lifting belt.Neighbors called authorities about 9:20 in the evening after hearing what they thought was a young boy crying for help from the apartment the trainer shares with his girlfriend Jessica Muniz.The crying had stopped when the police arrived. Since no one answered the door or the phone, they eventually had to knock the door down.

Nassau County Police Department spokesman Kevin Smith told E! News, "When they entered the apartment, they found the child in his bedroom, crying, with multiple lacerations, contusions and bruises. He was immediately taken to the hospital."Police found two belts inside, one measuring 3 inches-wide with no buckle and the other one had a buckle that was held together by a duct tape.

Badalamenti, a trainer on the hit NBC reality series, and Muniz were both arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and endangering a child's welfare.The couple were arraigned in First District court in Hempstead, New York. Bail for Badalamenti, 31, is at $100,000, while Muniz, 29, is at $50,000.The child was treated at a local hospital and currently remains in the care of a relative.
