Julie Amanda Tilton has no standing to sue the Desert Inn Daytona Beach (picture above) and a photographer over photos of a wet t shirt contest and video. Julie Amanda Tilton participated in a wet t shirt spring break contest that resulted in a video and photos being taken during 2001 that went online.

In a stunning decision announced today, a federal appeals court ruled, Julie Amanda Tilton chose to stand around in a wet t shirt but has no standing in their court, says reports. A three judge federal appeals court reviewed a lower court ruling that said Julie Amanda Tilton had no srtanding to sue Deslin Hotels, which owns the Desert Inn where the event occurred, and the photographer who took the pictures and video. The appeals court agreed in part.

The federal appeals court reportedly upheld the lower court’s ruling and “rejected Tilton’s claim … saying she failed to prove the photos harmed her. A three-judge panel upheld that ruling Thursday but reversed denial of attorney fees to Tilton from a photographer.”The decision was out of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and turned on the court’s interpretation of conduct under the law.
