Scott MacIntyre “Mandolin Rain” On American Idol

Scott MacIntyre, "American Idol's" first visually challenged contestant, was beaming following some "Mandolin Rain" last night. Though MacIntyre had a few pitchy moments, his rendition of the Bruce Hornsby classic was touching, although Kara, who two weeks ago seemed to be canonizing Danny Gokey as a saint who gives us all hope, may have been too effusive about Scott with her beatification of him: "You move mountains."

Other women performing are Arianna Afjar, Felicia Barton, Kristen McNamara, Kendall Beard and Taylor Vaifanua. The men’s side will also include Alexander Wagner-Trugman, Jorge Nunez, Ju’Not Joyner, Nathanieaial "The Cryer’ Marshall and Von Smith.The three who will advance will be revealed Wednesday.On Thursday, each of the four judges will select two also-rans, who will vie for the remaining three final spots during a wild-card round.
