Cop Without A Badge Featured Danielle Real Housewives of New Jersey
Danielle Staub throws a "spa party" (read: free Botox injections) for the gals, but she's left feeling deflated after arch-nemesis Dina Manzo makes a catty, not-so-veiled reference to Staub's sexual history. Danielle thought she mended fences in last week's episode, but now, she says, "Apologies are in order." Even though she previously assured pal Jacqueline Laurita that she didn't want to put her in the middle of the feud with Dina (who is Jacqueline's sister-in-law), Danielle puts her in the middle of the feud with Dina ... and assures Jacqueline again that she doesn't want to put her in the middle of the feud with Dina. Glad to see she's on message.
Danielle is planning her upcoming birthday party with Jacqueline (two requirements: a limousine and free-flowing Cristal) and tell her she doesn't want to invite Dina in light of "recent events." She calls Dina "abrasive" and "condensending" -- apparently Danielle believes that Dina can change matter from gas to liquid out of sheer spite. She also says that Dina is afraid of Danielle because Danielle knows "way too much about her." Oh, and she says that Dina has gained about 30 pounds. Oh no she di'int.
As it turns out, the birthday party involves a dinner out with Danielle's boy toy, Steve, Jacqueline and husband Chris, and Teresa Giudice and husband Joe. But there's tension! Apparently Steve isn't so into Danielle anymore, and Danielle has to be convinced not to break it off right there at the table. A few days later, Jacqueline and Teresa and their kids are enjoying a nice play date when Danielle places a completely-not-staged phone call, saying she needs to talk to Jacqueline about the Steve situation. Turns out uber-confident Danielle needs her girlfriends "to make it okay for me to break up with him." Is she 45 or 15?
Jacqueline says she feels like she needs to make a choice between Danielle and sisters-in-law Dina and Caroline Manzo. Meanwhile, Teresa says that Steve, a friend of hers, is only dating Danielle for the sex ... and that "dating" may be too strong, or at least too vertical, a description for their relationship. Then Teresa starts to list the rumors swirling around Danielle -- is she a husband-stealer, was she a stripper? Caroline wants to investigate! Who died and made her Nancy Drew? Next week, we learn that Danielle, and possibly her mug shot, is featured in the now out-of-print "Cop Without a Badge," the true-life story of a former con turned criminal informant.
