The NBC Knight Rider Contest end at 10:59:59 EST 2/18/08. You can find more information on the sweepstakes at www.nbc.com/Knight_Rider/Ford/sweepstakes.While this new "Knight Rider" movie (airing 9 p.m. Sunday, NBC) -- which may lead to a weekly series -- has cool bells and whistles, a few things about this updated KITT have stayed the same. The car is still a man's best friend, logical, wise and smarter than that Buick you're darting around in.
Also, this movie hasn't forgotten what came before. David Hasselhoff will reprise his role as Michael Knight, the driver of the first KITT.The movie focuses on Sarah Graimen (Deanna Russo), a 24-year old smarty pants from Stanford University, who is following in the footsteps of her genius father (Bruce Davison).Sarah gets a call from the new KITT telling her that he's a creation of her father's, the inventor of the first KITT 25 years ago. KITT warns her father is in serious danger.
This modern version stars Justin Bruening as Mike Traceur as an ex-Army Ranger (and the estranged son of Michael Knight); he comes back into town to help his childhood friend Sarah Graimen (Deanna Russo) find her father Charles (Bruce Davison), who's in danger. This movie tells the origin story of how Mike Traceur becomes Knight Rider.Justin says it was stepping into the shoes of a legend that really got him excited to play this part. But it was dealing with the talking car that was the biggest hurdle.
