Shaniqua Tompkins Sues Rapper 50 Cent

Shaniqua Tompkins, the ex-girlfriend of rapper 50 Cent, a.k.a. Curtis Jackson, who is suing him for breach of contract and unjust enrichment.Yesterday, April 2, 2008, 50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, sued the rapper for breach of contract and unjust enrichment. She alleges that 50 Cent promised that she and their 10-year-old son, Marquise, could live in the $2.4 million home in Dix Hills, Long Island, and that she would own the house. However, when 50 closed on the purchase, he put the house in his name alone.

Shaniqua Tompkins is 32 years old. Shaniqua met 50 Cent when she was 15 years old. On May 24, 2000, she was with 50 when he was shot in the hand, arm, hip, legs, chest and face. He then spent 13 days in the hospital where Shaniqua’s attorney says she nursed him back to health.This latest lawsuit is not the first time the ex-lovers have been in a court of law together. In June 2007, the couple was in court for a child support hearing. Although Shaniqua was receiving $25,000 per month in child support, she didn’t think it was enough. 50 Cent had started the suit in March 2007 after Shaniqua’s “unreasonable demands” caused the music star to get a court order detailing his responsibilities to the child.
