Miranda Cosgrove Is A Teen Actress

Meet Miranda Cosgrove, the teen actress making a name for herself on Nickelodeon and now breaking into the music industry.The “iCarly” soundtrack is releasing June 10, and producers are hoping to use the album to also launch Miranda Cosgrove’s music career. In May, Miranda signed a solo recording deal with Columbia Records.

Miranda Cosgrove was born on May 14, 1993 in Los Angeles, California, so her age is 15. At age 3, she was singing and dancing in a restaurant called Taste of LA when she was spotted by a talent agent who started casting her in commercials, including for McDonald’s and Burger King, and the rest is history. The young talent is now all over Nickelodeon, starring in both “Drake and Josh” and “iCarly”. Miranda really enjoyed playing the prankster on “Drake and Josh”.

Miranda’s biggest role to date is the movie “School of Rock” with Jack Black. She plays Summer Hathaway, the teacher’s pet who turns out to be one heck of a talent manager.When she’s not acting, Miranda enjoys a lot of different activities, including fencing, horseback riding, and playing the guitar. And the girl loves movies, calling herself a “movie junkie”. If she doesn’t stick with acting, she says she’d like to be a marine biologist. And, her favorite color is purple.
