Gael Garcia Bernal to be a Father

Rumors are circulating that talented and hunky Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal is expecting his first child with Argentinian actress Dolores Fonsi.According to People en Espanol, Gael Garcia Bernal, 30, has been quietly dating Doloris Fonsi, also 30, since December of 2007. While the couple has not officially confirmed their pregnancy, rumors have been circulating since as early as May that they are expecting.

Gael García Bernal was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and is the son of Patricia Bernal, an actress and former model, and José Angel García, an actor and director. In his early acting career, Gael starred in popular Mexican telenovellas, where he was quickly becoming a hearthrob. However, he left the television world at age 19 to pursue more distinguished acting work.

In 2005, Gael Garcia Bernal was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for The Motorcycle Diaries . In 2006, he was nominated for the Orange Rising Star award, an acknowledgement of new talent in the acting industry. In addition to this star-making role, he has also been featured in such films as Babel, The Science of Sleep, Y Tu Mamá También, and The King.Previous to his relationship with Dolores Fonsi, Gael Garcia Bernal dated filmstar Natalie Portman. The couple ended their relationship in 2006.
