Philip Haynes Markoff is a Boston University School of Medicine medical student who lives in Quincy, Massachusetts. He is originally from Sherrill, New York. He was arrested in Boston and charged with the murder of 26-year-old Julissa Brisman who advertised massage services on Craigslist. He is alleged to have shot her to death on April 14 at the Marriott Copley Hotel. He has also been charged with the armed robbery and kidnapping of an escort, also allegedly met through Craigslist at the Westin Copley in the Back Bay on April 10.

A police officer in Boston (or many) is trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations. What else is new?? Philip is an intelligent man who is just trying to live his life so if you could leave us alone we would greatly appreciate it. We expect to marry in August and share a wonderful, meaningful life together.”

In another interview, Megan McAllister said: ‘I will stand by Philip as I know he is innocent. ‘Philip is a beautiful man inside and out,’ McAllister said in a message to a reporter on a social networking Web site. ‘He is intelligent, loyal, and the best fiance a woman could ask for. He would not hurt a fly!’
